I believe that we are not supposed to remain the same all throughout our life. Both physically and mentally. Mentally, I've come so far and am happy that I am where I now am, and not where I once was. Physically, I've gone the other way. I see myself in pictures, and I cannot believe that it is me. It's like I'm looking at someone else. I need to stop using my age as my excuse. I've done this to myself over the last 8 years, and it's time to make a change.
I'm closer to 200 pounds than I EVER thought I could be, and certainly would be. I remember when I thought I was chubby at 110 lbs! Sheesh. And then I remember when I was 127 and wanted nothing more than to be 120. Gosh, I long for those days back! And, the thing is, I can be there. But only I can take myself back there. No one can do it for me, and I can't keep making excuses of why it's ok for me not to go back there. It's not ok. It's not ok for so many reasons:
- Riding my wonderful little horse Cocoa will be so much easier if I'm lighter
- My self-esteem will be higher, as I can wear the types of clothes I love - I love to look good! :)
- My energy level will be higher, and so will my mood
- I will have better control over my procrastination tendencies
- My HEART
- My CHOLESTEROL
- My BLOOD PRESSURE
- My heart burn issues that just cropped up
- My sore back
I need to do it, and I need to step outside my comfort zone. I know it can be done, I just have to do it.
